RESUMEN
Afganistán atraviesa, una vez más, una crisis humanitaria y de desplazamiento desatada en agosto del 2021 cuando los talibanes tomaron el control del país. Como consecuencia de la violencia e inseguridad generalizada, los afganos se vieron forzados a migrar. En este trabajo, se describe la situación actual de los migrantes afganos, desde los antecedentes históricos del conflicto y la migración. También, se abordan temas como las solicitudes de asilo y protección de los refugiados, la perspectiva de género y los mecanismos de cooperación y la respuesta de la comunidad internacional. Por último, se realizan algunas reflexiones sobre los desafíos para lograr medidas y programas eficientes que garanticen la seguridad humana.

ABSTRACT
Afghanistan is once again through a humanitarian and displacement crisis that began in August last year when the Taliban took over the country. As a result of widespread violence and insecurity, Afghans were forced to move in and out of their country. This paper describes the current situation of Afghan migrants- from the historical background of the conflict to the root causes of the migration-, it also addresses issues such as asylum applications and refugee protection, the gender perspective and the mechanisms of cooperation and the actions of the international community. Finally, some reflections are made to achieve efficient measures and programs to ensure human security.
